Seaboard: High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is simply the toughest marine grade polymer sheet available. This UV stable product has scratch resistance, excellent impact, and stiffness for the most demanding marine and boat applications.  It is an exciting material to beekeeping equipment development.

• Will not rot, chip, splinter, mold, or delaminate like wood alternatives.
• Impervious to the salt and moisture.
• Temperature required to ignite (burn): 649.4 deg F
• Temperature required to melt: about 220 deg F
• Low temperature: -76 degres C
• Can be welded with a plastic welding gun
