2009 Wax Moths Everywhere Sign In or Register to add photos

The story: some pollen patties were in a box. The box was left under another box for two months. The box of pollen patties thus escaped being put into the chest freezer. Now hundreds of (minor) wax moths are everywhere! It is very likely the vendor sold these patties to us with wax moth eggs in them. I have posted this to suggest everyone freeze your patties for 48 hr duration after their initial purchase to kill eggs hidden.
A sad site
Pollen patties turned to dust from moths in their worm state
More sad patties
moths everywhere, don't let it happen to you!
